Miltex Carb-N-Sert Needle Holders offer long-term savings due to extended service life and resistance to "metal-on-metal" wear inherent to standard stainless steel patterns. These precision instruments ensure a firm, reliable grip on needles/sutures and are available in a large variety of length and jaw configurations to accommodate general and specialty procedures. Carb-N-Sert® jaws are made of Tungsten Carbide bonded to needle holders of the finest quality stainless steel. These jaws are custom crafted with teeth ranging from 2,600 per square inch to 16,000 per square inch, according to the size of the instrument and the sizes of needles and sutures. Needle holder patterns are also available with smooth Carb-N-Sert® jaws, designed to hold the smallest sutures in micro-surgical and plastic surgery procedures. The jaw edge is chamfered to prevent accidental cutting of suture material.
